The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is rent asunder 1 And it hearkeneth to its Lord, and is duteous. 2 And when the earth is flattened out, 3 And throws out whatever it contains and is empty, 4 And it listens to the command of its Lord and that befits it. 5 O man, indeed you have to surely run towards your Lord, and to meet him. 6 Then he who is given his Record in his right hand, 7 Soon will his account be taken by an easy reckoning, 8 and he shall return to his people, joyfully, 9 But whosoever is given his Record behind his back, 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 and he shall roast at a Blaze. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 He assumed that he does not have to return. 14 But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, 17 and the moon when it grows full, 18 that you will certainly pass through one stage after another. 19 What aileth them, then, that they believe not 20 And when the Qur'an is read to them, they fall not prostrate, ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 So announce to them a Penalty Grievous, 24 Save those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them is a reward that will never come to an end (i.e. Paradise). 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
