۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 And attentive to her Lord in fear, 2 And when the earth is flattened out, 3 And it unburdens itself of all that is in it, and becomes empty. 4 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should. 5 O man, you have to strive and go on striving towards your Lord, then will you meet Him. 6 And as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, 7 will be easy, 8 And will return to his people full of joy. 9 But as for him whose record shall be given to him behind his back; 10 they will say, "Woe to us!" 11 They will suffer the heat of hell fire. 12 Once, he lived joyfully among his family 13 Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah]. 14 Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him! 15 I do not need to swear by the sunset, 16 and the night, and what it [step by step] unfolds, 17 and the moon when it is at the full, 18 You will surely go up level by level. 19 So, wherefore do they not believe? 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? ۩ 21 Yea those who disbelieve belie. 22 and God knows very well what they are secreting. 23 So announce to them a painful torment. 24 Except those who believed and did good deeds – for them is a reward that will never end. 25
