The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky is torn apart, 1 And obeys its Lord and it must. 2 And when the earth is spread out 3 And hath cast out all that was in her, and is empty 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 Thou, verily, O man, art working toward thy Lord a work which thou wilt meet (in His presence). 6 Then whoso is given his account in his right hand 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 and will [be able to] turn joyfully to those of his own kind. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 shall call for destruction 11 They will suffer the heat of hell fire. 12 He verily lived joyous with his folk, 13 Never thinking he will return. 14 Yea! his Lord had ever been beholding him. 15 I swear by the glow of sunset, 16 And by the night and that which it driveth together, 17 or by the moon when it is full, 18 That you will climb from stage to stage. 19 What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?- 20 And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not fall prostrate? (Command of Prostration # 13) ۩ 21 In fact the disbelievers keep denying. 22 And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. 23 Therefore give them the glad tidings of a painful punishment. 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
