The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
