The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
