The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
