The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 by the Promised Day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 while they sat around it, 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Pharaoh and (the tribe of) Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
