The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
