The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
