The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the Promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
