The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer of what He will. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
