The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
