The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
