The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it, 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
