The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
