The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
