The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
