The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
