The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
