The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
