The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 by a burning fire 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
