The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The piercing star! 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
