The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
