The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
