Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the piercing star. 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
