The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 it is no merriment. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 and so am I: 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
