The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
