The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
