The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
