The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and so am I: 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
