The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and so am I: 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
