The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 it is not a jest. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I secretly plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
