The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
