The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 he was created of gushing water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
