The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky and the night comer - 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
