The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
