Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 it is not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 and so am I: 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
