The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and so am I: 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
