The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
