The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 it is no merriment. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
