The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 and so am I: 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
