Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
