Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
