Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
