Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
