The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
