The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
