The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
