The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
