The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
